a huge impact would be caused upon multitudes

20) Ezekiel is told by God that a trumpet blows to mobilize Israel’s army
— But no-one listens to the trumpet just as no-one listens to God.

21) Ezekiel is told about the sad state of Jerusalem because of sin. (Eze 7:15)
- War outside the city.
- Famine and disease inside the city.

Ezekiel Indicates signs of Repentance on behalf of Some:
1) There will be
mourning because of individual sin. (Eze 7:16) (Eze 9:15) (Jer 31:9)
2) There will be
weakness because of the guilt of sin. (Eze 7:17) (Eze 21:7)

3) There will be
repentance indicated by the sackcloth. (Eze 7:18a)

4) There will be
horror as the enormity of their sin hits home. (Eze 7:18b)
5) There will be
shame amongst God’s people because of their sin. (Eze 7:18c)
6) There will be
shaving of heads because of sin. (Eze 7:18d)
7) There will be a recognition
of the limitation of worldly goods and treasures. (Eze 7:19)
- Gold and Silver will not be able to deliver from God’s Wrath.
- Gold and Silver will not Satisfy a Man’s spiritual needs.
- Gold and Silver had become in many ways a stumbling block
and a trigger to further sin.

Ezekiel Indicates That
despite The Fact That Some Show Signs Of Repentance,
Many In Fact Will Continue In Their Sin
And Reap The Consequences Of Their Sin.
1) Ezekiel tells us that
many had beautiful Jewelry
— But used it to make detestable idols and vile images. (Eze 7:20a)
2) Ezekiel tells us that
God will cause the people to hate their wealth
as they misused it for idolatrous means (Eze 7:20b).
3) Ezekiel tells us that
the wealth of God’s people will be given to their enemies
some of which were the most wicked nations on earth;
and these enemies would defile the wealth of God’s people. (Eze 7:21)

4) Ezekiel tells us that
God’s people need to be prepared to be put into chains
which is what invading nations will do to the people of God
because of the awful sin of God’s people.

5) Ezekiel tells us that
TERROR and TREMBLING will overcome God’s people.

God’s people will look and search for Peace

Introduction:
The subject of FIRE with its different aspects and characteristics
is a prominent theme throughout the book of Ezekiel.

1) Fire is often depicted in Ezekiel
as Emanating from God. (Eze 1:4-5)
2) Fire is often depicted in Ezekiel
as associated with LIGHT. (Eze 1:13) (Eze 1:27)
- Appearance of Lamps.

3) Fire is often depicted in Ezekiel
