The Wickedness Of Man Isaiah 47 v 7 to 15

Two key points are taught in these scriptures.

It is important to remember that although all men are sinners only the unbeliever is generally referred to in the Bible as the Wicked; whereas the Believer is referred to as the Righteous.

( 1 Cor 3:19 ) ( Gal 6:3 ) ( James 1:26 ) ( 1 John 1:8 ) ( Gal 6:7 )

( Job 15:31 ) ( Jer 49:16 )

6) Wicked men Believe they will get away with their wickedness. ( Isaiah 47:10 )

“Thou has said—None seeth me.”

( Page 2 )

7) Wicked men are corrupted and perverted by THEIR OWN wisdom and knowledge.

( Isaiah 47:10 )

Point 2: God’s Judgement upon man’s wickedness.

a) The Wicked are sometimes punished by God by the death of their children.

( Isaiah 47:9 )

b) The Wicked are sometimes punished by God by the death of their spouse.

( Isaiah 47:9 )

c: The Wicked are sometimes punished by God by evil coming upon them.

Message three:

Some prophecies in Isaiah concerning the Tribulation period.

Introduction: In common with many of the Old Testament prophets Isaiah looks forward to the future and sees and predicts very clearly some key aspects of the seven year tribulation period which takes place immediately following the rapture of the Church. Some key teaching on this subject in isaiah is as follows:

1: In the Tribulation Period MEN WILL HIDE IN ROCKS FOR FEAR OF THE LORD.

( Isa 2:10 ) ( Isa 2:19 ) ( Isa 2:21 ) ( Isa 24:17-18 )

Notice in Isaiah 24:18 that men may try to run away from God but it will be not possible.”

2: In the Tribulation Period THE PROUD WILL BE PUNISHED.

( Isa 2:11-12 ) ( Isa 2:17 ) ( Isa 24:21 )

( Page 6 )

3: In the Tribulation Period CHRIST WILL SMITE THE EARTH ( Isa 11:4 )

See also: ( Rev 19:11-15 )

*It is important to note that Christ smiting the earth actually brings the tribulation period to a conclusion.*

5: In the Tribulation Period THERE WILL BE THE DESTRUCTION OF THE DAY OF THE LORD. ( Isa 13:6 ) ( Isa 13:9 )

*It is important to note that the 7 year tribulation period is a part of the Bible period often referred to as the Day of the Lord.*

6: In the Tribulation Period THERE WILL BE COSMIC DISTURBANCES.

( Isa 13:10 ) ( Isa 13:13 ) ( Isa 24:23 ) ( Isa 34:4 )

( Isa 1:28 ) ( Isa 33:12 )

9: In the Tribulation Period MANY WHO BECOME CHRISTIANS WILL HAVE THE PROMISE OF RESURRECTION BUT SOME MAY HAVE TO DIE A MARTYRS DEATH.

( Isa 26:20 -21 )

10: In the Tribulation Period THE DESTRUCTION OF THE ANTI-CHRIST WILL BRING THIS PERIOD TO A CONCLUSION. ( Isa 29:20 )

11: In the Tribulation Period THE BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON WILL BE SIGNIFICANT TO BRING THIS PERIOD TO A CONCLUSION. ( Isa 34:1-3 ) ( Isa 63:3-6 )

( Page 7 )

12: In the Tribulation period THE GLORIOUS SECOND COMING OF CHRIST WILL BE LOOKED FOR ( Isa 66:14-16 )

*Notice when Christ returns at his glorious second coming he will stand again on the Mount of Olives and the 7 year Tribulation will be forever past.*
