Message one: Isaiah 6 verses 1 to 9

Introduction:

This remarkable passage tells of a vision that Isaiah received when he went to the temple to pray.

The passage can be divided up into the following thoughts:

1: What Isaiah Saw:

a) The Lord sitting upon a throne — A place of royalty and power (6:1)

“A Heavenly Vision”

Message Two: Isaiah 61:1 to 3

Introduction:

A Portion of Scripture — Packed with Treasures and Doctrinal truth,

1: THESE THREE VERSES TEACH BIBLE PROPHECY.

a) The first coming of Christ. (v1)

THE METHOD GOD USES AS AN INSTRUMENT OF CONVERSION. (v1)

a) Preaching good news is used in Conversion. (v1)

b) Preaching by an anointed Preacher is used in Conversion. (v1)

This is Spirit Inspired preaching.”

c) Preaching by a CALLED Preacher is used in Conversion. (v1) “He hath sent me”

5: THESE THREE VERSES TEACH

THE CHANGE THAT REAL CONVERSION CAUSES:

a) Genuine conversion gives BEAUTY INSTEAD OF ASHES. (v3)

b) Genuine conversion gives THE OIL OF JOY INSTEAD OF MOURNING. (v3)

c) Genuine conversion gives PRAISE INSTEAD OF DEPRESSION. (v3)

d) Genuine conversion gives

RIGHTEOUSNESS INSTEAD OF UNRIGHTEOUSNESS. (v3)

e) Genuine conversion gives LIBERTY INSTEAD OF BONDAGE. (v1)

“Religion brings bondage– But genuine new life in Christ brings Liberty.” (Jn 8v32)

f) Genuine conversion gives COMFORT INSTEAD OF GUILT. (v2)

6: THESE THREE VERSES TEACH WHY TRUE CONVERSION HAPPENS.

a) It happens because IT IS A WORK OF GOD. (v3)

“The planting of the Lord.”

b) It happens so the person involved can GLORIFY THE LORD. (v3)

“That he might be Glorified”


Message Three:

Believers blessings in the book of Isaiah.

Introduction:

The whole of the Book of Isaiah is brimming with promises of great blessings for the Believer, a few of which are as follows:

Blessing One)

GOD WILL GIVE THE BELIEVER ABUNDANCE. (1:19)

Notice that this is conditional on obedience.

Blessing Two)

GOD WILL GIVE THE BELIEVER FRUIT FOR THEIR LABOURS.

Blessing Three)

GOD WILL GIVE THE BELIEVER SALVATION–STRENGTH–AND SONG.

Blessing Four)

GOD WILL GIVE THE BELIEVER PEACE. (26:3)

GOD IS WITH THE BELIEVER EVEN IN OLD AGE. (46:4)

GOD MAKES US BETTER THROUGH AFFLICTION. (48:10)

“It is important for the Christian to remember that troubles are GOOD for us

and need to be welcomed as windows of opportunity to grow in grace and faith.”

Blessing Ten:)

GOD REFRESHES US IN DRY PERIODS. (48:21)
